WE PROMISED UTOPIA (2021)

What if humanity saved the world today... only to destroy it tomorrow? Charismatic idealist Isabel Bari and her development of the Equivalent Carbon Credit (ECC) tied every element of the global economy to a carbon-based currency, and changed  wealth accumulation principles. The comic focuses on three separate eras of humanity: the rise of the ECC in present day, the establishment of a utopian world that adopted the ECC to create harmony between human civilization and nature, and a dystopian future after the mysterious collapse of the ECC.

The era-spanning sci-fi epic returns in present day with fractures in Isabel Bari's poise after the early rollout of the carbon-based currency, the ECC. In the titular utopia, Mangus encounters surprising resistance in his investigation of the cryptic Yggdrasil, while in the far dystopian future, the family struggles to survive the first leg of their journey south.

Isa deflects questions about the mysterious Ygdrassil project while an approaching hurricane is threatening the lives of a Save The World contestant and his fellow villagers. Mangus delves deeper into governmental corruption and a family goes to extreme lengths to survive the global ice age.
