A week has passed since the murder at the festival, and Oscar has returned to his busy daily life with government affairs while Tinasha has finally begun to be respected as a court mage. But because they are often seen together, there always are rumors about them in the castle, and their nightly meetings to uncover the ones behind the incident aren't helping any. Then, during one such meeting, Oscar accidentally ingests an aphrodisiac in front of Tinasha...

Seventy years ago, a terrible magical beast wrought tremendous destruction during a war between Farsas and a neighboring country. Although Tinasha, the Witch of the Azure Moon, managed to seal the creature away for a time, it is now free again, and Tinasha is determined to end its threat for good. Naturally, she plans to face the powerful creature alone, but Oscar's not about to let that happen. Can two triumph where one just barely managed a stalemate previously?  

With Tinasha back at her tower for a few days, Oscar is on his own unsupervised. Overcome with curiosity, he ignores all warnings and heads to the east to investigate a strange case, where he meets Lucrezia, the Witch of the Forbidden Forest. Who is this new witch, and can he trust her?

Tinasha has disappeared along with Lanak, the man she was once called fiancée in the emerging magic-focused nation of Cuscull. Oscar, having learned about Tinasha's past from the witch Lucrezia, resolves to bring her back... as he learns of Cuscull's invasion of their neighboring country Tayiri!
