UNCANNY COUNTER GN (2025)

The word is that the noodle shop on the corner serves broth that's out of this world. But little do they know...it's actually run by people from the afterlife! To be more precise, the restaurant is a front for individuals called Counters who have formed contracts with souls from the hereafter. They were given special powers for their job-hunting down renegade souls who have escaped into Earth to prey on the living. When So Mun, a highschooler disabled by a tragic car accident, is invited into the group, he hesitates...until he's offered a chance to meet his deceased parents as a reward. Can he complete the mission and tell them the words he never got to say?

After joining the rest of Auntie's noodles as a Counter, Mun finds himself with unmatched superhuman strength. And with great power...comes great ability to beat up the bullies who picked on you and your friends! But as Mun's reputation as the school's hero grows, so does the target on his back...

Mun may have taken things too far. After using his powers from the afterlife to strike back against the bullies who hurt his friends, the Yung spirits debate on taking away Mun's powers as a Counter! Meanwhile, Hyukwoo Shin, son of a mega-corporation owner and one of Mun's bullies, boils for vengeance-and he turns to shadier characters to handle this business. Can Mun and the Counters handle this new onslaught while navigating the webs of their connected pasts?

The counters face off against one of the few things that's more terrifying than a host-two hosts. As the number of atrocities these hosts commit grows, so does their power, and now the Counters must prepare themselves for what could be a fight for their lives. Meanwhile, Motak continues his investigation into his past and it leads him into the front door of Taeshin corp! The climactic final battle between the Counters and the Ultimate evil quickly appraoches!

The Counters are able to chase down the hosts to the offices of Taeshin Corp, but when they arrive, the hosts are nowhere to be found. The only hint they can find is a bloody note at Mun's house telling him to go to the place where it all started. Now, under the bridge where Shin killed Chuljoong and where Mun first became exposed to the world of Yung, the two face off in their final duel. Can Mun save his parents from the clutches of the evil spirits, or is he doomed to lose the remaining family he has left?
