THE SICKNESS (2023)

If you're feeling sick, The Man may be following you... 1945: With the war escalating, Daniel's hallucinations grow more disturbing by the day, and The Man is getting closer, further exacerbating the boy's symptoms. But Daniel just wants to be normal, and so insists on facing these horrors alone. 1955: George's obsession with the housewife who murdered her family consumes him. He refuses to sweep this tragedy under the rug, determined to prevent future suffering by searching for answers in the past.

: If you're feeling sick, The Man may be following you... 1945: As Daniel's sickness mounts, he is conflicted by both his family's dark past as well as his newfound fear of atomic war. Having no agency over his life, the teenager tries to take control back, no matter the cost. All the while, The Man grows ever closer. 1955: George makes progress in his research, discovering more clues about The Sickness; however, his attempt to take matters into his own hands is halted by an untimely death. Paranoia and obsession begin to cloud George's thoughts as he's left to wonder if The Sickness continues to spread.

However, not all of them are convinced Daniel's symptoms are real, leading to a naive plan with horrifying consequences. 1955: George faces a dead end in his research. Despite his best efforts to put the bizarre case of the murderous housewife behind him, a sense of personal duty worms through his brain. Unbeknownst to him, a new stage of discovery is about to unfold.

The only impact of his friends' plan was to exacerbate his symptoms to the point that the hallucinations feel more alive than ever. Whatever this illness is, it wants something from Daniel. 1955: George performs an autopsy on the housewife who murdered her family, resulting in disturbing revelations. However, he comes to a standstill in his attempt to trace patients with similar symptoms. Little does he know, The Sickness is closer to him than he could ever imagine.
