SULFUR WELLS (2022)

Around the rim of a large man-made lake resides a rural community. The lake has provided the community with commerce and recreation but it has also taken. While two young friends navigate the waterways and the complications of southern poverty they also must remain vigilant of an elusive local cryptid species.

Run & Report. Talmage and Conrad notify the local authority figures of their encounter. The boys visit the home of Zuzanne, a local historian and chief organizer of the Dulac Meals on Wheels. They then head to the Bent Pole Resort and Marina to notify the owner and local cryptid enthusiast Quinten of what Conrad saw. All the while the boys are reflecting on their own personal histories with the elusive species.

Heirloom and escapade. Talmage and Conrad are still reeling from their encounter the previous day. They pick up their friend Ophelia for a relaxing day of catching bluegill. However, the trio find themselves on a retrieval mission that will alter everything in their little community.

Regroup and assess. Talmage, Conrad, and Ophelia have just stumbled upon a perplexing structure with a typid catacomb beneath. The rattled group retreat to figure out what they have seen and what move to make next. Their discovery and subsequent decisions will prove to be a catalyst that further alters their small community.

Tribulations and Initiations: Talmage, Conrad, and Ophelia have explored and documented the catacomb they found and evaded quinten with the brutal assistance of Balaam. Now that the group has linked back up with Suzanne, their combined information will pop the top off of what they thought they knew about the typids. With possession of their new understanding, additional evaluations and expeditions must be conducted.

ROUNDUP AND RODEO: AFTER THE GROUP'S SUCCESSFUL EXPLORATION OF A SECOND ZIG-GURAT AND INITIATION INTO THE MAYFLY VIGIL, THEY RUN INTO TROUBLE ON THEIR WAY HOME.  THE TYPID HAVE MADE A MOVE AND THE FRIENDS MAY HAVE FINALLY OVER-STEPPED THEIR BOUNDS.  HOW MANY TYPID CAN OPHELIA DROP?
