Stetson is a nightmare hunter. A dream detective. She runs a shoddy back-alley business where she helps clients sleep at night by entering their dreams and killing their nightmares. But Stetson's past comes back to haunt her when she tracks down a literal living nightmare - a serial killer that murders people in their sleep. Officer Finch discovers that his body is being taken over by a nightmare serial killer while he sleeps. Desperate to clear his name, Finch seeks out Stetson to erase the murderous nightmare from his dreams for good.

Stetson and Jiang enter Finch's dreams to stop a murderous nightmare from terrorizing Finch's mind. While navigating a trippy dreamworld populated with amphibious janitors, cave swans, and reality-altering streetlights, the team discovers they must face Finch's darkest secrets to reach their target.

Valkira lays a trap both inside of Finch's dreams and in waking life, forcing Stetson and Finch into a game of cat and mouse on both sides of the dream door in order to uncover Valkira's true agenda.

Stetson enters Ed's dreams and navigates through an Edwardian dream hotel populated by dozens of creepy Ed lookalikes in a desperate attempt to rescue his dreamscape from Valkira. Valkira's dark intentions are finally unveiled.

Valkira orchestrates her plan to use Stetson in order to escape the dreamscape into our world. Finch and Jiang are left to stop Valkira in a final showdown against the shadow walker.
