Cole covers and tales such as 'Footprint of Death,' 'The Case of the Strange Murder,' 'The Curse of the Phantom Brigade,' 'The Forbidden Tomb,' and 'The Horrible Entity'! Plus, Amazing Adventures in Fantastic Comics with 'Bewitched Battalion,' a re-telling of legendary angelic archers assisting World War I British soldiers at the Battle of Mons as told by Arthur Machen-a totally made up story-but that didn't stop the rumors of the events being real! Reproduced completely from cover to cover as they should be, just like the original comics! Collects Startling Tales #6 (August 1953), #8 (February 1954), #9 (May 1954), and #11 (November 1954), plus Fantastic Comics #11 (January 1955).
We've unearthed some more little horrors for Volume 10 of Classic Horror Comics! Beginning with Tales of Horror and Terror-Haunted Thrills #14 where Wanda marries Hubert for his money and betrays him with the chauffeur. When Hubert finds out, he locks her in an ice-cold vault and lets her freeze to death. Just like all the other women who had only married him for his money in 'Frigid Fear!'. All the way to the end of the run for Haunted Thrills with issue #18 and 'No Place to Go' where Wilbur Cummings, a mild-mannered and harmless man, dies after falling down the stair. Neither Heaven nor Hell want to admit him, because he didn't do anything, be it good or evil, so Cumming gets a second chance and is sent back to life! Collects Haunted Thrills #14-18 (March/April-November 1954).

Starting with Tales of Horror and Terror in Haunted Thrills #3 (October 1952) and Haunted Thrills #7 (March 1953) where scientist George Norton saves the brain of an executed wife killer, making contact with it to develop it's evil ways? Then Terrifying Tales #12 (April 1953) complete with a classic L.B. Cole cover, where not even Jo-Jo realized what horrors lurked beneath the surface of a crystal clear lake! Finishing our grim journey with Weird Chills #1 (July 1954) where the doctor oversees a blood transfusion between a woman and a zombie! And in Weird Chills #3 (November 1954) we discover the Terror on TV-vampiric monsters take over the studio, attacking the cast and crew, while the audience just think it's all part of the show!

We've unearthed some more little horrors! Originally these stories were produced for Charlton editor Al Fago who when he left reportedly sold them to St. John. And with the likes of the "Nightmare" served up for us by the great Steve Ditko, where a man attempts to avoid the fate that his wife has dreamed for him , it's a good job he did! And in the 1958 series of Eerie we have everything from "Up Pops The Devil!"-with Mister Lucifer no less!-to "The Mirror of Cagliostro" featuring the Italian adventurer and self-styled magician with a passion for various occult arts! Collects Do You Believe in Nightmares #1-2 (November 1957-January 1958) and Eerie #1 and #8-9 (1958).

Starting with this little gem: Front Page is a Pre-Code anthology from Harvey that contains the origin and first appearance of the Man in Black. This was the only issue of the series. Prize Mystery stories with an added cash incentive for the lucky 1950s reader if they can solve a two-page mystery involving murder. Ironically, solutions to the prize mysteries were to be announced in the issue #4, but, alas it never happened. Man in Black - the faceless occult avenger tells strange stories, sometimes intervening in person, other times merely letting ironic fate unfold. Reproduced completely from cover to cover as they should be - just like the original comic! And from issue #13 (January 1954), "Death Do Us Part," the baboon kills his wife! Quickly followed by Tales of Stalking Terror-woe be to those receiving the deadly invitation... all it said was "Be My Ghost!" in Fantastic Fears #8 (July 1954) and from issue #9 (September 1954), "If a Body Kill a Body," two Scottish highlanders from warring families come back as ghosts to get their revenge! And finally, even more horror and suspense from the Man in Black #2 (1957); a faceless occult avenger tells strange stories, sometimes intervening in person, other times merely letting ironic fate unfold.
