Skywald's first publication was Nightmare #1 (December 1970). a black-and-white comic magazine absolutely packed full of horror - The Pollution Monsters, Master of the Dead, Dance Macabre, Orgy of Blood, A Nightmare Pin-Up, The Skeletons of Doom, Help Us to Die, The Thing from the Sea, The Creature Within, and The Deadly Mark of the Beast - all created by the ghoulishly imaginative talents of Don Heck, Norman Nodel, Jack Katz, Bill Everett, Ross Andru, Wally Wood, Mike Esposito, Joe Kubert, and Syd Shores.

Nightmare #2 (Feb. 1971), the black-and-white comic horror magazine, features "Children of the Cold Gods" by Ross Andru, "The Phantom of Philip Hawks" by Alvin Hollingsworth, "The Circle of Circe!" by Syd Shores, and "Blood for the Vampire" by Norman Nodel. All of these featuring the masterly influence of Mike Esposito and not forgetting "Pressed for Time" scripted by Marv Wolfman and pencilled by Dan Akins. All reproduced here completely, like the original comic magazine.

Skywald's Nightmare continues with issue #3 (April 1971). A black-and-white comic magazine absolutely packed full of horror and suspense, complete with a striking Boris Vallejo cover! And featuring the combined talents of Tom Sutton, Gerry Conway, Rich Buckler, Al Hewetson, Serg Moren, Gardner Fox, Raul Reinman, Bruce Jones, Kevin Pagan, Chic Stone and Jack Katz. And all reproduced here completely like the original comic magazine!
