Hina's so busy collecting Mao merch that she almost doesn't feel bad about missing out on the Vampire Cross cafes. If only she had a human friend who could eat all the themed food for her! But connecting with humans isn't easy until Hina literally bumps into her neighbor Kyuta, a prickly boy who looks just like Mao. Having her best friend live next door will be so convenient! Hina's new best friends Kyuta and Hoshino are in dire straits when their club's costumes get ruined days before the college festival! All is not lost though, and Hina is very excited to lend a hand (and Viktor's entire wardrobe) at this classic Japanese event. But her otaku joy at cosplaying in a maid cafe is tarnished when a strange customer challenges everything she thought she knew about her own kind!

When Kyuta and Hoshino luck into a pair of tickets to a hot springs inn, Hoshino thinks he's found the perfect opportunity to come out to Kyuta as a vampire. But his plans are interrupted when a bevy of other vampires crash their weekend of restful solitude and truth telling-including Fujimiya, a vampire so powerful he shouldn't even exist!

Kyuta might be Hina's best friend, but her real focus will always be Mao. So why does she feel weird when a cute girl asks Kyuta out? And Kyuta just thinks of Hina as the annoying otaku next door-it's none of his business what she does in her personal life. So why does he want to throttle his buddy when he starts hitting on her?

Kyuta's having a hard time bouncing back after being attacked at the vampire bar, so Hina decides to drag him to some cute animal therapy at the zoo. But things definitely don't go as planned when Mao's voice actor crashes their date! Ordinarily, Hina would be thrilled to bump into her fave, but Rinya has too many secrets and asks too many questions for her to enjoy the occasion.
