In the aftermath of No'madd's journey to the City of Empty Towers, his son, Taron, is mentored by Whispers, a hermit seer. Taron must prepare for his role in the battle against the alien invaders that threaten his home.  Meanwhile, across the sea of storms, a sinister new foe arises.

Taron, son of No'madd, finds himself in the battle of his life against a hideous creature known as the Mud Stalker. The battle awakens a power inside him that he never knew existed and brings him closer to unraveling the mystery of what happened to his father.

In the Ah'kee City, No'madd and his son, Taron, unite with the Sorceress Zhada.  But across the Sea of Storms, their village is attacked by a V-or death squad.  The Ka'ii villagers must fight for their lives against a technologically advanced enemy that will stop at nothing to eradicate them.  

No'madd and his son Taron follow the Sorceress Zhada into the feared Path of Spikes in a land of ice long abandoned by the Gods. Along the way, they face the horrors of the Spikes: many beasts, hungry plants, vicious bugs, and even the deepest fears of their own minds. But when they arrive at the Mys Cave, the most unexpected and sinister twist is set to be unveiled.

The Cave of Broken Tombs has been discovered, and now No'madd must fight for his life against an all-powerful enemy with a bloodthirsty obsession for revenge.
