NATHAN HALES HAZARDOUS TALES BIGGER GN (2025)

With 16 pages of never-before-seen material, this brand-new, oversized edition of Raid of No Return just got a whole lot bigger and badder! On December 7, 1941, the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor, officially bringing the United States into World War II. A new generation of pilots were recruited to fly bombing missions for the United States, and from that group, volunteers were requested for a dangerous secret assignment. Sixteen bombers set sail on the US's first aircraft carrier. Once at sea, they were told their mission was a retaliation strike against targets in Tokyo. But on the day of the raid, a Japanese patrol boat spotted them, and they had to launch early with barely enough fuel to get them past their target. After the bombing, some pilots crashed, some were captured, and many ended up in mainland China and were carried to safety by Chinese villagers, being hunted by Japanese forces all the while.

The Bigger & Badder editions of Nathan Hale's Hazardous Tales continue! Araminta Ross was born an enslaved person in Delaware in the early 19th century. After years of backbreaking labor and the constant threat of being sold and separated from her family, she escaped and traveled north to freedom. Once there, she changed her name to Harriet Tubman. As an "abductor" on the Underground Railroad, she risked her life helping countless enslaved people escape to freedom. This deluxe, oversized edition of the original Underground Abductor graphic novel includes 16 pages of new material!
