MOM BREAKS THE INTERNET (2023)

Barbie Reed gets laid off from her computer programming job the same day her fifteen-year-old daughter Penny is arrested at a peaceful protest. When Barbie picks her up from jail, she has no idea what happened to Penny at the demonstration. Fed up with playing by the rules, Barbie rallies tech-savvy moms with a radical plan to force the world to change.

After losing her tech job, Barbie works with fellow moms and dons the online persona of MOM, a masked super-hacker disabling key Internet services until a list of honey-do's are met. Her daughter Penny struggles with trauma from her assault while doxxing her abuser online.

With the Internet in shambles, President Frederick T. Waldgrave forms a task force and places special agent Ramirez, the anti-MOM, in charge. With unlimited resources, Ramirez vows to apprehend MOM by any means necessary. In MOM's world, Barbie, her husband, and Penny attend family counseling. But will an unlawful police stop during the ride home change their lives forever?

MOM continues holding the Internet hostage, demanding reforms in housing, workplaces, and defunding the police. Penny uploads her assault video online, making Officer Webster thirst for revenge. Agent Ramirez closes in on MOM's location, but a mistake may put another member of the family at risk!

Penny faces off with her abuser. The world watches as MOM is caught. Will President Waldgrave lock her up and throw away the key? Or will MOM's plan to break the Internet and build a better world succeed after all?
