LOTUS LAND (2023)

In a Vancouver of the future painted with ultramodern decay, a groundbreaking advancement in technology promises an end to entropy itself. But when an attack on this mysterious "Keeper Program" threatens the lives of everyone tied to it, retired Police Detective Bennie Strikman is called to investigate one last case. Eisner-winning and Harvey-nominated writer and director Darcy Van Poelgeest (Little Bird) is joined by rising star artist Caio Filipe (Stranger Things: Tales From Hawkins) for this timely and thought-provoking look into the human condition, set in a dystopia that's as grounded as it is metaphysical.

After a beleagueredemployee lashes out, the secrets of the program ares further revealed, and someone related to the victim's attacker may be on Bennie's trail. Meanwhile, Bennie deals with a haunting, lingering vision while following a lead... one with a deadly destination.

Bennie is in dire bloody straits, but superhuman help from someone with a shared past may be what he needs to make it out alive. As he gets wrapped up in a murder investigation and has to clear his name, he also visits some ruins of the past that will finally shed some light on the young girl from his visions.

As he works to unravel the mystery of who attacked him and why, Bennie pays a visit to a club in Gastown where "The Twin" - a man with the power to induce hallucinations - plies his trade. But when his interest in "the drowning girl" puts him on the bad side of a worse crowd, he finds himself in the clutches of an underworld power broker with a shocking agenda.

As the series approaches the highly anticipated conclusion, Tabitha and Ethan continue to struggle through their strained relationship and her inability to see his new body as anything but an imposter. Meanwhile, Bennie and Wickstrom uncover more details in the drowning girl's case, and through a more esoteric form of interrogation, Bennie, discovers some devastating answers concerning the missing children...
