LOCUST (2021)

Most of humanity has fallen victim to a terrible plague that has turned them into giant locusts. As the locusts consume the earth, the uninfected survivors struggle to stay alive. During the "Great Transformation" a fisherman and his elderly mother try to escape a decimated New York City. Can they survive?

New York seems to be going crazy. During the Great Transformation, many people turned into uncontrolled, humanoid locusts thirsting for flesh and violence. While escaping through the streets, Max and his elderly mother are swept away by a swarm of giant locusts. However, at the last minute someone saves their lives and takes them to safety-will they be friends or has the situation just gotten worse?

Max and his mother's journey through the nightmare of the Great Transformation continues. New York City is now doomed in this biblical apocalypse that turns people into ravenous humanoid-like locusts. A group of survivors offers asylum to Max and his mother, bringing them to safety into an old police station they have converted into a fortress. Their leader is a military veteran - and a convert to religion - named Ford. Will he be a friend or a threat?

The journey continues, in the present and in the past. In the present Max gives his all to find little Stella and save her from the clutches of the fanatic Ford. While in the past, we see how the two have tried in every way to find hopebring a faint light to a cold, frozen world devoured by darkness.
