In 1967, the CIA sent astronauts into space to investigate an astronomical anomaly. Unfortunately, before they could report their findings, they mysteriously vanished never to be seen again... That is until today, when one of those long missing astronauts, Scott Anders, crashes to earth and emerges, powerful, totally unscathed and hellbent on one purpose-to return to where he has been for all those decades. But where has he been? How did he gain his new invulnerability? What is the mysterious organization that stands in his way, determined to protect the secret of Kayless at all costs? After the CIA refuses to acknowledge Scott Anders existence since his mysterious return to Earth after disappearing in 1967, Scott takes on the dangerous task of tracking down a missing girl. Meanwhile, the granddaughter of a CIA agent Scott worked with previously in the 1960s informs him that she wants to reopen Project Kayless, and wants Scott to work with them. Unfortunately for her, she's caught the attention of the clandestine organization pulling the strings-and they're not happy.

Scott Anders, missing for fifty years after the Kayless space mission disaster, has finally returned home... for now. His old bosses in the CIA are willing to foot the bill for his return to space, but first he has to intervene in an unfolding terrorist crisis at Angel Stadium. Who can he turn to for help? And who is the mysterious assassin tasked with removing him from the stage once and for all?
