KAIJU NO 8 GN (2025)

With the highest kaiju-emergence rates in the world, Japan is no stranger to attack by deadly monsters. Enter the Japan Defense Force, a military organization tasked with the neutralization of kaiju. Kafka Hibino, a kaiju corpse cleanup man, has always dreamed of joining the force and wants another shot at achieving his childhood dream of eliminating the kaiju. But how can he expect to fight kaiju when he suddenly becomes one himself?! For teen audiences.

When the final test of the Defense Force screening exam ends, a mysterious humanoid kaiju revives a neutralized honju and sics it on Kikoru Shinomiya and the rest of the examinees. Just when Kikoru seems to be at the end of her rope, Kafka rushes to her defense! But who is the humanoid kaiju, and what is their goal?! For teen audiences.

Kafka manages to fight off the humanoid kaiju, rescuing Iharu and Reno. But before he can change back to his human form, Kafka's spotted by Defense Force officers, and the neutralization unit-led by none other than Vice-Captain Hoshina himself-is dispatched to dispose of him. Can Kafka withstand his superior officer's attacks without revealing his true identity?! For teen audiences.

The raid on the Defense Force's Tachikawa base continues as the officers expend their efforts to fend off the yoju. Meanwhile, Hoshina unleashes his full combat power and takes on the daikaiju-the mightiest kaiju of the group. Just when the battle seems to be over, the daikaiju transforms and Kafka's detection ability reacts to it! Will Kafka make it in time to save the day?! For teen audiences.

The Defense Force has taken Kafka into custody and plans to dispose of him. To save himself, Kafka attempts to plead his humanity to Director General Shinomiya, wielder of the mighty Kaiju No. 2's power and the person lauded as the strongest in Defense Force history. When Kafka's pleas fail to move the director general, he winds up facing him in combat! Can Kafka keep his kaiju form together long enough to save his own skin? For teen audiences.

Kafka has encountered Kaiju No. 9, but he finds himself unable to transform. Luckily, Kikoru comes to the rescue and goes head-to-head with it. Meanwhile, the Kaiju No. 9 that had appeared before Captain Narumi undergoes an evolution during battle! Will Kafka's faith in his companions pay off? For teen audiences.

Kaiju No. 9 shows up to steal the power of Kaiju No. 2, wielded by Isao Shinomiya, director general of the Defense Force. At the end of the deadly battle, Isao manages to get No. 9 on the ropes, but he ends up exhausting all of his strength, allowing the kaiju to steal No. 2's power. With Isao defeated, No. 9 fuses with the director general and takes on Kafka, Kikoru, and Narumi! Will they be able to defeat No. 9 and save their fearless leader?! For teen audiences.

Reno's chance to show off the fruits of his Numbers Weapon training arrives when he's ordered to take part in a live kaiju-combat field test. Meanwhile, Iharu, feeling left behind after witnessing Reno's explosive progress, shifts his focus to improving his own skills-that is, until an abnormality strikes Reno during their neutralization mission and forces Iharu into action!

With the looming threat of a cataclysm induced by No. 9, the next generation of the Defense Force takes steps to prepare. Reno undergoes training and becomes the first compatible user of No. 6 in history. Kafka sharpens his skills by learning squadron-style combat techniques under Hoshina's tutelage. Meanwhile, Kikoru gets clearance from Narumi to inherit a powerful memento that once belonged to her mother.

With kaiju cataclysms transpiring across Japan, Hoshina heads into battle equipped with Numbers Weapon 10 and soon discovers that wielding the first-ever sentient kaiju weapon won't be easy. Meanwhile, back in the Oizumi area where Kafka is, six supergiant-class kaiju emerge, worsening an already grave situation. But just as things get dire, some unexpected backup arrives!

The five identified-class kaiju created by No. 9 gather in the eastern division's area. Specifically designed to eliminate the Defense Force's main players, these kaiju have drawn every division into a struggle. Meanwhile, Kafka makes a promise to Kikoru before the battle. What could it be?! For teen audiences.

The Eastern Division has been attacked by identified-class kaiju. Narumi and Kikoru have taken care of their targets, but Hoshina is still facing off against No. 11, the finished project that No. 10 served as the prototype for. Even worse, Numbers Weapon 10 won't output more than 83 percent unleashed combat power, making this battle even more of a struggle for Hoshina.

Mina Ashiro falls into the clutches of Kaiju No. 9 after its emergence in Tachikawa. Kafka goes to rescue her, but daikaiju start emerging in several places across the city, impeding his progress. As Kafka deals with this issue, he picks up on a new kaiju presence and a neverbeforeseen entity reveals itself!

Thanks to the efforts of the new generation of soldiers, Kafka makes it in time to save Mina Ashiro from Kaiju No. 9. Not only that, he has a host of improved Defense Force-style combat techniques tailored to fight his enemy. But with Kaiju No. 9 able to access the absorbed Isao Shinomiya and his wealth of martial arts knowledge, will Kafka's refined battle techniques stand a chance?
