But when a member of his makeshift entourage proves not what they seem, how can Henry possibly hope to reverse an irreversible act? Without the ability to refreeze someone in time, there's no putting this genie back in its bottle.

A killer is loose in New York City, and it's all Henry Jacob's fault. With nearly every New Yorker helplessly frozen in time like lambs waiting for the slaughter, Henry and his friends must follow a macabre trail of death if they have any hope of finding the elusive Subway Slasher. How will they find a lone man in a city of eight million people? And more importantly, if they find him, how can they possible hope to stop this hardened killer from claiming more lives?

With time frozen in New York City, there is no one to stop the Subway Slasher as he roams Manhattan unpaused, adding more and more victims to his body count. But these kills feel hollow to the serial murderer. He misses the hunt and the thrill of hearing his targets beg for their lives. What happens when the Slasher learns of the one person in New York who remains not only helpless, but also unfrozen in time? Can Henry Jacobs hope to save his bedridden brother from this relentless killer? Or will the Subway Slasher finally strike too close to home?
