Reading Order

  1. Iron Man #1

"BIG IRON! Tony Stark is looking to restart his engine. He decides he's going back to basics, putting away his high-tech toys and high-profile image so he can get his hands dirty again. It's time to dig into the guts of real machines, put on some old-fashioned metal and fly. But can he really lay that Stark-sized ego down? Life isn't that simple, something that old friends and frustrating foes are quick to point out. If you strip down a billionaire to his bolts, does he run solid or just overheat? Tony's going to find out once a threat to the entire universe rears its head from the past. As he suits up again, Tony remains sure of one thing: he's still IRON MAN down to his flesh and blood core. Rated T+ "

  2. Iron Man #2

"TONY HAS COMPANY... AND HIS NAME IS KORVAC! Tony Stark continues to roughly dismantle the fancy, shiny and sophisticated ways of his past but the world doesn't seem quite convinced that he's changed his rich guy tune. As Iron Man, he takes the fight to the streets, looking to sacrifice himself on the altar of super heroism again and again-first with Arcade and Absorbing Man then with medical vigilante Cardiac - all in hope of redemption in the eyes of the public. Only trouble is he might get himself killed in the process, and there are still plenty of people in line with an ax to grind. Old friends like HELLCAT try to help him find peace of mind and speak truth to his stubborn god complex, but lurking on the horizon is a threat Tony - and indeed the entire cosmos - hasn't seen in years KORVAC yet another guy who believes he's smarter than the rest of the universe. Rated T+ "

  3. Iron Man #3

"Tony Stark is getting tired of apologizing for being himself, especially when as Iron Man he's more powerful than most any other human being on Earth. As he wears himself out trying to do everything he can to be a force of good in the world, he's beginning to chafe at the idea that he really owes anybody anything. Is it too much to ask for a thank you? He's trying to keep his head down and his ego in check, but when KORVAC reveals himself as the puppet master behind Stark's latest investment, Tony will at least have somewhere to channel his anger and frustration That is, if he survives the conflict at all. 32 PGS./Rated T+ "

  4. Iron Man #4

"KORVAC is on the loose and Tony Stark is on the hook for it. Iron Man and Hellcat were lucky to survive their first encounter with Korvac and his new disciples, but finding him and stopping him is proving an even greater challenge. Tony is reticent to let other hero allies in on the fact that he opened up a giant can of worms all on his own, but it might be a moot point given that Korvac has placed Tony under a very clever and threatening gag order. As Korvac powers down all of New York City in order to try and again go cosmic, Tony's forced to turn to lesser-known colleagues on the fringe in order to stop him. One advantage he has: Hellcat is hearing things ever since their last encounter with Korvac Strange things Things that might overtake her entirely. Rated T+"

  5. Iron Man #5

THE FIRST ACT OF "THE BOOKS OF KORVAC" REACHES ITS STUNNING CONCLUSION! It's put up or shut up time with KORVAC as the android mastermind begins the next phase of his ascent toward absolute power, and IRON MAN begrudgingly decides to finally ask for help. But...from who? As he takes charge of new allies and tries to use HELLCAT's weakened state to his advantage, Tony Stark might instead risk everyone's life including his own, especially when he confronts Korvac himself, one on one. Rated T+

  6. Iron Man #6

BOOKS OF KORVAC: BOOK TWO BEGINS! After receiving a near-fatal injury from Korvac, Iron Man lands in emergency triage with his life on the line. Halcyon and Misty Knight work quickly to lock Tony in his armor and stanch his injuries...but now he can't take it off or else he'll die. With pieces of metal literally holding his body together, Tony regroups with his allies, all while trying not to give into his rage over being bested by Korvac. With Hellcat on the psychological ropes and his other hero compatriots recuperating from their own near-death experiences, can Tony muster what he needs in order to chase Korvac out into space and stop the mad demigod's quest for ultimate power? Perhaps War Machine is just the friend Tony could use in this moment...but James Rhodes might only be there to bench a manic and battered Tony from action so that he doesn't get killed. Still, as always, Tony has never been good at taking no for an answer... Rated T+

  7. Iron Man #7

Iron Man and his small band of allies go interstellar as they pursue Korvac to the farthest reaches of the galaxy, even as the villainous android intellect tries to telepathically lure Hellcat and Tony toward his bizarre utopian visions. Rated T+

  8. Iron Man #8

It's up to a shell-shocked Hellcat to dig deep into her mind with the help of old friend and psychic mentor Moondragon, who reaches across the universe to help Patsy reclaim the once-powerful mental abilities she left behind. But to reignite those powers, Hellcat is going to have to face some pretty frightening demons in her past...one of them literally the Son of Satan himself. Rated T+

  9. Iron Man #9

THE ORIGIN OF KORVAC! After discovering the strange new sensation of self-doubt, Korvac and his crew take a detour in deep space to search for an unlikely ally. But conversion can often be difficult, and soon Korvac is left wondering if he'll ever have any followers born from faith rather than fear. 32 PGS./Rated T+

  10. Iron Man #10

Tony has been suddenly and bizarrely marooned on an unknown remote planet, and his abandonment doesn't seem to be Korvac's doing at all. While his friends continue to pursue Korvac and his allies across the galaxy in a race to Galactus' worldship, Taa II, Tony must now figure out where he is and if the locals are friendly or dangerous, especially since this small colony of fellow space drifters is run by a powerful old foe who might have reformed his ways. But at least for a moment, Tony has a chance to rest and to not only take stock of where he is, but also figure out how he got here in the first place and who he wants to be moving forward. Rated T+

  11. Iron Man #11

After bringing down an Ultimo robot nearly singlehandedly, Iron Man continues to investigate the strange and small colony on the remote planet where he's been marooned. Life here seems perfect...but is it? And who's possibly pulling the strings behind its delicate design? As Tony digs deeper for answers, an astral projection of Hellcat warns him that Korvac is still the biggest threat they all face...unless Tony gives into addiction, this time in the form of pain medication for his many injuries. 12. Iron Man #12

Iron Man is a long way from Earth. He now stands on the decks of Galactus' worldship, Taa II, in deep space, and though he doesn't have to face the World-Eater himself this time around, he certainly has to deal with the ship's most brutal and lethal defenses. If he manages to survive those, it's only a matter of moments before Tony Stark will have to turn around and confront his fiercest foe of recent memory, KORVAC. Tony must also face the mad android's zealous disciples, all of whom have a personal ax to grind with the Golden Avenger-THE CONTROLLER, UNICORN, BLIZZARD and their most recent addition, a robotically enslaved ORIGINAL HUMAN TORCH. This showdown has been a long time coming, but Tony wasn't counting on five-against-one odds. Tony needs backup. Tony could use some friends. Rated T+

Can Tony - and War Machine, Hellcat, Scarlet Spider, Frog-Man, Gargoyle, Misty Knight and Halcyon - end this fight once and for all? Or are things about to get a whole lot worse? And if they do, will Tony be forced to make a choice that alters the course of his very human existence forever? RATED T+
