Goblin Slayer's promotion exam begins in earnest! The seemingly simple quest he chose ends up taking him and his examiner all the way to a distant village next to a massive goblin nest. The two of them venture into the nest to exterminate the goblins, where they soon discover that this horde is being led by a kind of goblin more dangerous than any Goblin Slayer has seen before... Meanwhile, after Heavy Warrior collapses due to overwork, Young Warrior's party is sent to investigate the source of the recent frequent, disruptive earthquakes in his place, but the answer they find is something they never could have imagined...!!

And as if well-equipped goblins weren't enough, he will have to face up against a giant eye monster, whose gaze can melt stone! If only Goblin Slayer had some help and advice from a more experienced adventurer...

'I have a feeling the road that lies before you will be filled with chaos.'??With that, an elven swordswoman offers to join Goblin Slayer in his adventures.? And soon the pair are on the hunt with goblins or worse to slay. But cracks of thunder and sheets of rain herald worse-for those deep footprints in the mud were made by no goblin, but by a nightmarish beast with a lion's head, a turtle's shell, six bear legs, and burning breath-a tarasque!??

'Hey kid. When you're done with these goblins, wanna head west with me?' Side by side with Elven swordswoman, Goblin Slayer ventures deeper into a dank cavern where a wicked wizard waits… His new master and temporary comrade has a date with her destined nemesis, but horrid cadaver puppets and goblins stand in her way-'Leave the corpse and the goblins to me.
