While on his way to school one morning high school second year Ryo Takamori saves his childhood friend Hina Fushimi from a sexual harasser on a crowded train. Although the two are practically opposites in appearance and popularity, not to mention the fact they haven't spoken since middle school, Hina finds herself smitten with the oblivious Ryo. A frustratingly sweet, zero stress romantic comedy!

After Ryo Takamori saved his estranged childhood friend Hina Fushimi from being harassed on the train at the beginning of his second year in high school, they Ä ve slowly reforged their bond. The only problem is that they Ä ve got completely different perspectives on the relationship! Ryo just can Ä t seem to wrap his head around why Hina is so clingy, while Hina thinks his cluelessness about her assertive flirting is evidence that her crush is one-sided. Can anything get them on the same page?

There's only one month left until the July field trip, and Hina Fushimi is still making enthusiastic advances on Ryou Takamori. But when a girl named Ai Himejima, another one of Ryou's childhood friends, transfers to their high school, Ryou and Hina's relationship hits a snag. Faced with a rival in love, Hina redoubles her efforts to win Ryou over by resorting to even bolder feats of flirtation. Ryou, meanwhile, continues to act completely oblivious!

Finally, the screenplay is complete, and Ryo and the crew can start filming for their short movie! After borrowing equipment from Himejima's agency, they head to a faraway beach to film one of their scenes. It's not all fun and games, however, when an argument breaks out between Fushimi and Torigoe-and that's before Ryo learns that Fushimi and Himejima are auditioning for the same role in a musical! He roots for both, but knows only one of them can pass...

Summer break is close to ending, and Ryou doesn't have much time left to wrap up the filming of their short movie. Despite that, he promises to take the crew to a summer festival to see the fireworks and make some memories. But on the day before the festival, Hina comes to Ryou and reveals that she's been distressed.  

Hina's film is done, completing another big step toward her dream, and suddenly, the second semester is upon them. The cultural festival, fireworks festival, and summer vacation have been bringing Hina and Ryou closer than ever. On the other hand, Ai and Shizuka haven't given up on love. While these girls struggle with their one-sided feelings, Hina becomes more aggressive when it comes to her own...

With the arrival of the school festival, the whole campus is filled with cheer. Ryou's class is almost done with their film, and the drama club has even requested help from Hina, their lead actress! As she takes another step toward her dream with Ryou's support, he begins to confront the real reason he's so uninterested in romance. With the festival drawing to a close, feelings come to a head and paths diverge. What's really in Ryou's heart?
