EMILIES INHERITANCE GN (2025)

Ireland, 1801. Two men are walking across the moors when they chance upon an unearthly mausoleum lost in the mists. 122 years later, Emilie Bertin, a French cabaret singer going through difficult times, is contacted by a lawyer, who explains that she is the only heir to a man who vanished in mysterious circumstances, and now stands to inherit a castle and estate ... in Ireland. Thus begins for Emilie the most fantastic of journeys, one that will take her beyond both space and time.

After a less than restful night spent in the Tinker camp, Emilie finally enters the estate she's inherited. There, she soon meets the residents-half caretakers, half parasites, and all extremely strange. Through conversations with members of that eclectic group, and her own explorations, the young woman begins to discover the surprising history of her ancestor, Hatcliff, and the estate that bears his name, along with the apparently very real magic that permeates the place.

As Emilie comes to explore the Irish estate she's inherited, she's forced to face a startling truth: there, ghosts, fairies and gateways to other worlds aren't mere legends, but rather the reality! Then there are the other residents, all of them strange, creepy at times, and who seem to hide a terrible secret. But there is a greater mystery still: who is the man who, from the shadows, manipulated the young woman into coming to Ireland - and for what purpose?

The man who manipulated Emilie into coming to the Hatcliff Estate, and then kidnapped her so she would open its gates to him, has revealed himself as an extraterrestrial exile. Meanwhile, the strange phenomenon that had stopped the passing of time within the bounds of the estate has ended, and winter comes, aging its inhabitants at an accelerated rate. In desperation, they've sent Bran, Emilie's lover, to fetch Hatcliff back from 'Fairyland' - in actuality, another planet. Can the process still be halted?
