Somewhere in the world, there is someone who feels different/special/cursed, who is losing their mind right now. You're not alone. Take James for example. He would like to run away from his parents and from a life that doesn't belong to him. On the other hand, Tom is forced to face his past and hunt down his own kind, like a hound on the leash of an unknown master. Brennar is on the hunt for money and a peace he can't find anywhere. They are three people whose superpowers are more like a burden. In this world, there are no superheroes.

As James deals with his post-adolescent issues, he suddenly discovers he is not alone. An encounter with Murphy, another Distorted, is about to change his life. Meanwhile, the mysterious Steve Collins, a blogger and expert in paranormal and super powers, is creating a map that connects all the latest appearances of people with strange abilities. In the darkness of the city, another Distorted starts to make his way-Mason. He's a serial-killer and cannibal, who is convinced that devouring his own kind can make him stronger. And he just started his hunt.

Tom and Brennar's paths finally cross, and Tom realizes he's not the only one hunting down the Distorted. The detective hired by Elisa is forced to accept that he has been used as a puppet. Meanwhile, James and Murphy hone their skills so that they can understand the extent of their powers. Fed up with the status quo, James decides to take matters into his own hands. He wants to use their abilities to change his life.

Tom knows he's not alone in the hunt for the Distorted, and his path ends up crossing with Brennar's and Mason's. As the cannibalistic serial killer attempts to devour another victim, he finds himself clashing with the other two: a fight to the death that will see only one survivor... or so it seems. In the meantime, James sets up his robbery together with Murphy and Dem, and it goes incredibly well. But trouble is always around the corner: during a nightclub party something goes wrong, and the three are forced to escape. As they say, "Be careful what you wish for because it might come true."
