As their 1998 summer vacation comes to an end, the release of Magic: The Gathering's new expansion, Urza's Saga, garners excitement from Hajime and the other players. Amidst the hype, Hajime runs into a mysterious yet somewhat familiar girl during an autumn field trip. Who is this girl and what does she have to do with the game?!

In 1998, as the world edges toward its prophesied end, Hajime makes a promise to his best friend Kurushima-to reunite at a major Magic tournament in Kyoto. But when a karaoke night with Emi takes a turn, he faces more than just winter's chill.
