DARK BEACH (2022)

Earth has been drifting away from the sun for three hundred years, but that doesn't stop Gordo, a crime scene photographer living inside the dome-protected city of New Reykjav k, from dreaming about its warm glow. Is the sun as dangerous as the NRCE (New Reykjav k Corps of Engineers) led everyone to believe or will a murder rife with old sun mystery throw Gordo down a rabbit hole to find the truth?

Gordo finds himself entangled in a murder he can't seem to shake off, seeking answers from missing suspect Eve Junge, a member of the Sun Freaks- a secret group obsessed with finding the truth about the old sun. Can Gordo follow the trail of clues to her location, or will Julyus Ethel, a hitman tasked to kill every last Sun Freak, locate her first?

Wrongfully accused of murdering a member of the Sun Freaks, Gordo is on the run and seeking the euphoric and reliable Ghost Choker, a potent drug he inhales in order to cope with his mother's death. Is this Gordo's last trip, or will spiraling out of control land him face-to-face with an alternate version of himself... or even worse, hitman Julyus?

Meet the Sun Freaks! In this full-out flashback issue, we meet the entire cast of misfits- Eve, Razi, Schultz, Roman and Ket. The linchpin is pulled when Echo Schultz steals crucial data from his day job at the Science and Tech building revealing a nixed project to bring Earth back to the old sun entitled Daydream. Wildcard Eve forms a plan to steal the rest of the data to finally expose the NRCE, but will her sun obsession blind her from realizing she's putting others in harm's way?  

Two worlds collide when Gordo finally tracks down Eve Junge, the last remaining Sun Freak. The two realize they have much in common when shocking information is revealed regarding Gordo's mother and Project Daydream. Plans to steal the remaining Daydream data from the Science and Tech building get halted when Eve receives a disturbing call regarding her sister, Lilith, from a familiar friend.

After three hundred years of Earth drifting through space, Gordo and company risk it all for a chance to correct humanity by attempting to steal the remaining Project Daydream data from the underbelly of the NRCE. Will Gordo's coup be successful or will solving this mystery lead him towards the most unexpected encounter of his life?
