CODE 45 (2022)

There are dragons lurking in the tunnels beneath Montreal's city streets - at least that's the rumor that confronts new metro driver Vanessa. Terrified by these mysterious and horrifying apparitions, the night shift turns to self-medication, losing the ability to tell the difference between reality and fantasy. Pulled in deep by the underground raves that blast through the system's abandoned stations, Vanessa quickly finds herself on the verge of crossing into a dark world she never knew existed.

Freshly-minted night shift driver Vanessa partners up with veteran Nikki, who refuses to discuss anything to do with the dragon threat-even after they share their first shocking "Code 45" experience together. Determined to dig into the mystery, Vanessa enlists the help of her DJ roommate Pierre-Yves, and discovers not only his surprising ties to the "scatter" crisis sweeping the tunnels, but also a link to a dark secret about her own family's past.

Vanessa reaches out to her uncle, a veteran train driver who shuts down her questions about the danger in the tunnels. Frustrated, she sinks deeper into the rave scene, where a chance encounters with the metro's maintenance chief shocks her with details about the dragon cover-up and her family's link to Code 45-but is it too late to save herself from the same fate?

After her attack, Vanessa's dragon hunting sees her taking incredible risks, putting herself and others in danger as she relentlessly collects evidence to expose the truth about Code 45. After she finally goes too far she's suspended from her driving duties, but defies her supervisor for one last tunnel dive in search of a missing Nikki, the latest "Code 45" casualty.

Rescuing Nikki means escaping the subterranean dragon's den with her sanity, and her life, forcing Vanessa into a final confrontation with the malevolent forces that rule Montreal's metro tunnels. With the help of an unlikely ally, Vanessa and Nikki are given one last chance to save themselves from the darkness that surrounds them.
