Elodie, Sajen, and Evelyn return to the port city of Lycus, where they hope to book passage on a ship to Yalastra, a continent that may hold the key to stopping the dark blight ravaging their homeland. But first, they'll have to deal with some dangerous locals, who are none too happy with Elodie.

"Some of us believe this world must be cleansed of filthy magic." The words that Owlslin Captain Shanora Zel spoke in the snow hills of Ataraxy still burn hot in her mind as she recovers from her brutal fight with Elodie and plots to avenge the Tiger Fang Enchantress, Feng Po.

After their savage battle with pirates on the open seas, Elodie, Sajen, and Evelyn are forced to book new passage to Yalastra in the remote and rickety ocean town of Ahawakan. But navigating a floating city full of marauders is no easy task, especially when everyone wants them dead. Meanwhile, Shanora Zel looks to pick up Elodie's trail in Lycus.

Elodie, Sajen, and Evelyn land on the continent of Yalastra and reunite with their unicorn friends Zoso and Rigby. While they hug and prepare to track down pure magic in the Modtlomb jungle, the blight continues to spread on Solothus. Haru, concerned about the possible resurrection of the Augernaut, makes a rogue decision to take the fight to Yun Ma in the Middle Fields, despite resistance from the people of Wayfarer.

Evelyn chronicles her adventures in a journal as she and her friends make their way across the enchanted continent of Yalastra in search of the historian, Norriva,who may hold the key to finding pure magic.

The blight continues to spread across Solothus as the Augernaut repairs near completion and Yun Ma's plan for the continent begins to take shape. Across the ocean in Awahakan, Shanora Zeland her companions stir up trouble while searching for a way to catch up to Elodie.

Elodie and her friends meet Norriva, the magic historian of the Modtlomb Forest, and must convince her to help them find pure magic before the blight devastates Solothus. Unbeknownst to our heroes, an increasingly unhinged Shanora Zel and her band of marauders are aboard an airship and closing in fast.

Haru leads an assault on Yun Ma's forces in the Middle Fields as they attempt to destroy the Augernaut. An ocean away in an undersea cavern, Elodie and her friends fight for their lives against a horde of creatures blocking their path to pure magic.

Elodie and her friends finally come face-to-face with Shanora Zel and her band of marauders deep in the caverns of pure magic. The fate of Solothus hangs in the balance!
