Under the protection of the gods, a relaxed life with slimes in another world begins! One day, the life of middle-aged Japanese businessman Ryoma Takebayashi came to a rather sudden and disappointing end. Ryoma is a boy reborn from another world, who finds himself traveling with a kindly duke's family. After registering with the Adventurer's Guild and successfully finishing his first major job, he accompanies the duke's daughter Eliaria in her combat training, while learning new magics along the way! With a variety of slimes under his wing,  Ryoma enjoys his second chance at life while encountering many kind people in this otherworldly fantasy story!

Ever since he left the forest, a boy from another world named Ryoma had been cared for by the duke's family. Rather than take advantage of their generosity, however, he's determined to live independently. Seeking to earn a stable income, he decides that alongside his adventuring job, he'll use his cleaner slimes to open a brand new laundromat! The laundromat opens to praise that far surpasses Ryoma's expectations. As business gets busier and more exciting, he also gets ahold of some new followers in the third installment of this daily life fantasy!

Now that Ryoma has parted ways with the duke's family, it's time for him to begin a new life on his own in the abandoned mine he manages. Assorted issues take place at his laundromat, but as he solves them, he installs more security equipment in the store and becomes closer with his employees. When it's suggested that he starts training new staff so he can open a second laundromat in another location, Ryoma seeks out the ideal spot for his new store by going on a solo adventure for the first time!

After some unexpected earnings on his first solo journey, Ryoma has opened his second laundromat with his slimes. He safely returns home to Gimul and receives a letter from Eliaria informing him that Gimul's founding festival is approaching. Ryoma and his employees decide to run a stall at the festival that sells foreign food and unique drinks.

Invited by the guildmaster, Ryoma attends a training meetup for new adventurers as one of the teachers. On the second day of the camping lesson at the Poison Bug Plains, he teaches unique ways of building bases and methods of telling the edible from the inedible in ways that are easy to understand, drawing everyone's attention. Then, at the request of the students, a mock battle is held between the teachers, and Ryoma demonstrates how to use a bow in combat! And as usual, there are new slimes, revolutionary discoveries, and Ryoma himself obtains unexpected skills and levels up in more ways than one!

Ryoma continues to enjoy his extended time in the fishing villages of Fatoma territory, away from his home base in Gimul. As he streamlines his morning hunts of mad salamanders to protect the fishermen at work, Ryoma receives two more special requests from Count Porco, lord of Fatoma, where his culinary ingenuity shines! Can Ryoma accomplish Porco's quests with the help of his evolved slimes, modern knowledge, and experience in this fantasy world? While his slow living comes to fruition, a shocking truth about Ryoma's previous life is revealed!

His business retreat a success and with new slimes in tow, Ryoma returns to Gimul. To his dismay, crime has skyrocketed in his absence; even the familiar Morgan Company has come under threat. When his fellow small business owners rally around suspicious new leadership in the face of the crime wave, Ryoma takes a stand against the self-styled gangbusters to protect his shop, his employees, and Gimul itself.

Concerned by Gimul's changing social climate, Ryoma resolves to revive the city and eliminate the mastermind behind the city's decline, calling on the full strength of his connections to set in motion a plan that will revolutionize public policy and make the streets of Gimul safe! Meanwhile, the nine gods have a key detail about slime magic to share with Ryoma.

With the help of the Jamils and volunteers throughout the city, Ryoma's ventures in city management and defense have come to full fruition-just in time to combat the sinister forces plotting to bring down Gimul. Along the way, Ryoma happens to reunite with Reinbach-and meet a couple of Reinbach's old friends, coincidentally headed for the same destination. To prepare for the journey into the Sea of Trees of Syrus, Ryoma's hard at work grinding his adventurer rank. He and his companions decide to clear out the Undead-ridden City of Lost Souls on the way, and thanks to Ryoma's knowledge of Earth, he manages to invent a new spell. The group also makes an unexpected discovery under the city's tower-a massive pocket of magic crystals! Ryoma starts mining them, but he finds something else that would surprise even the gods themselves...

Ryoma has reached the Sea of Trees of Syrus at last. He explores it on his own for a time before running into Glen, a wildly bombastic S-rank adventurer. Together, they decide to head for Korumi Village, which sits deep in the Sea of Trees. The two power their way through the woods, taking out and cooking up high-ranking monsters that stray into their path. What else awaits them in the woods, and what will become of Ryoma's quest for the gods?
