After landing Baeksan in the hospital, Yu finds himself taking up Coach K's offer to join his gym. The legendary coach sweeps Yu away and gives him a new hairstyle, a new place to live, and a new goal: become king of the boxing world! But K's other prodigies aren't too keen on a clueless, scrawny newbie receiving all of their trainer's attention...

The wild beast, Qasim. The monster, Yu. These two inhumanly strong rookies are setting fire to the professional lightweight boxing scene, and Qasim won't be satisfied until he's crowned champion atop a throne of pummeled opponents. But before he can challenge the reigning king, he has to get through Yu...

The highly anticipated lightweight championship fight continues! Will Jean Pierre keep his belt, or will Yu win his first world title? Meanwhile, watching this all unfold is Yu's old schoolmate, Injae, who was inspired to start boxing professionally himself. Injae's got the spirit and resolve, but does he have the prowess to win his debut match?!

With Yu having attained the title of Lightweight World Champion, K is now setting his protégé's sights on the next weight division to conquer, Junior Welterweight. This will inevitably pit Yu against Yuto Takeda, a tremendous boxer who earned his belt through nothing but hard work-the antithesis to Yu's natural talent. Will Yuto prove to be the first immovable obstacle in this unstoppable force's path of destruction...?

The battle for the Junior Welterweight belt begins as Yu and Takeda duke it out! However, a battle of skill quickly turns into a battle of heart as Takeda's tenacity makes it difficult for even Yu to keep him down. Meanwhile, Yu's explosive rise has piqued the interest of the infamous Santorino brothers, a duo that is willing to go to extreme lengths to maintain their status as middleweight champions. Just what ominous opposition awaits Yu in his future...?

With the fight between Yu and Fabrizio commencing, the Santorinos' reputation for playing dirty is on full display. Bribing referees, doping, and even targeting Carmen are just a few of the many devious ploys the brothers use to gain the upper hand. However, they're not the only ones with tricks up their sleeves. And as the bout continues, it becomes harder to tell who the real monster is...

Yu's bloody beatdown against Fabrizio is interrupted at the end by the appearance of an unexpected guest, the boxer J. This legend is not only making his grand return into the world of boxing, but also to Yu, asking him to remember when they first met. K seethes at the sight of his grand finale ruined, but his line of sight isn't against J-yet. He wants Yu to challenge his last pupil, and possibly the greatest boxer in the world-Aaron Tide. But before Yu can do that, he must first get through a gauntlet of even more fighters.

Yu has almost conquered the boxing world, and all that's left is to defeat Aaron Tide and claim the heavyweight belt. But before their long-awaited match, Tide's sudden retirement throws a wrench in that plan. Despite the setback, K continues to prepare Yu as if the fight will happen. He knows the inner workings of Aaron's heart -and he's sure that this isn't a battle his former pupil can simply run away from. And a surprise visitor to Aaron's front doorstep could be the push he needs to enter the ring for one last brawl...

How did a man like K become so hellbent on seeing the pinnacle of human superiority? How did a boy like Yu lose the light in his eyes? Two very different paths converged in space and time and led to this very moment-a moment of life and death, human and monster, power and omnipotence.  As Yu and Aaron circle the drain, a god may be born...or a life may be taken!

The dark basement room was all Yu knew growing up. His days were spent eating the same meal, sleeping on the hard floor and comforting him and his mother's wounds after Yu's father would visit them. However, one day something from the outside wanders into Yu's world, and as he learns about the world outside the basement, something new is allowed to trickle into his life-hope. But hope is a fickle thing and as it's stripped away, Yu stares down his final opponent in a boxing ring, with nothing to live for except to knock down anything that stands in his way.

As Yu rains down blow after blow on J, one question rings out in his mind-why? Why was he born into a living hell? Why did no one save him? Why is he alive? With K watching in twisted excitement and Carmen, Injae, and many more watching on in fear, Yu alone has the power to find his answer. And only J can deliver it unto him... if he doesn't die first.
