BLACK COTTON (2021)

Set in an alternate reality where the social order of "white" and "black" is reversed, an elitist family, the Cottons, are rocked by a tragic shooting that begins to unravel long standing family secrets that could not only destroy the family but also divide the fragile social climate of the world.

The public outcry for justice after police officer Zion Cotton shoots an unarmed minority white woman, Elizabeth Nightingale, causes calamity and despite Zion's wealthy family trying to quell social tensions and fix the problem, Zion decides to take matters into his own hands. Meanwhile, Elizabeth struggles with what has happened to her.

The Cotton family wars against itself after Zion goes to see Elizabeth in the hospital. Also, a business crisis arises that may present an even bigger and more deadly problem that the "Officer Involved" shooting and the public backlash from it.

Elizabeth deals with being a victim of a police shooting and the smear campaign that Jaleesa Cotton has unleashed to discredit her character. Meanwhile, Xavier Cotton and his girlfriend Zenith face rising racial tensions at school.

Taz catches up with the mysterious and murderous Keshinomi twins only to barely escape with his life. Meanwhile, tensions rise and the fragile social climate nears fracturing as protests intensify in anticipation of the D.A.'s announcement whether or not charges will be filed against police officer Zion Cotton. Elijah and Jaleesa Cotton come face to face with their past.
