Desperate for answers about her friend's disappearance, Waka breaches the Tokyo danger zone in search of clues. Instead, she finds Tokinaga, a researcher with the Anti-God Science Institute. While Waka tries to decide if she should trust Tokinaga, he quickly realizes Waka is hiding a dangerous secret of her own-one that may just be the key to killing off the gods once and for all. After Waka's frightening display of power, Tokinaga has no choice but to sedate her and bring her back to the Anti-God Research Institute for questioning. Waka claims she's sworn to kill the gods, but with eyes like hers, how can she possibly be trusted? As it turns out, Waka's not the only one with secrets. The institute has been developing their own weapons against the gods, and unless Waka can hold her own against them, she may not survive long enough to prove she's telling the truth.

Just as Waka is getting her bearings with the Anti-God Research Institute, she and the other researchers are attacked by a massive snake god and Waka is abducted! Dragged away by disciples of the gods, she finds out that there's an actual god living inside of her-one she has absolutely no control over. Meanwhile, Tokinaga feels himself drowning in guilt over a number of lives that were lost. His housemate Obikawa does his best to encourage him, but Tokinaga starts to question what he's even doing with the institute at all...

Waka swore to slay the gods, which makes learning of the god living inside her all the more disturbing. Meanwhile, the snake god who kidnapped Yoriko and took the form of her fiancé Minami has begun drawing attention from the other gods. With all eyes now on him and the institute, what fresh horrors will the gods' newfound scrutiny spell for the researchers who are still trapped inside?

Tokinaga has successfully negotiated a treaty between humanity and the snake god, but the danger isn't over yet. Waka's been taken by a god named Volov, who claims to be a former ally of the snake god. Could Waka's friend Shion have something to do with why the two gods turned against each other?

Waka finally makes a break for it after being kidnapped by the god Volov, but just as her freedom is within reach, Alura stops her dead in her tracks. Meanwhile, although Volov may already be beyond saving, he begs his former best friend for Obikawa for help.

In a moment of desperation, Tokinaga strikes a deal for Waka's freedom. Waka is then ordered to return home, but not before convincing Tokinaga to go on a date! But when the appointed time finally arrives, it's not Waka who knocks on Tokinaga's door, but Alura... For older teen audiences.
