The AT-ST made just a brief appearance in STAR WARS: The Empire Strikes Back, but it was so memorable that it played a much larger role in the climactic Battle of Endor in SW: Return of the Jedi. This smaller two-legged walker provided the Empire with a smaller, more maneuverable alternative to their heavy-duty AT-AT walkers.
