"In the early years of the 19th-century, German writer E.T.A Hoffmann wrote the short story, 'The Nutcracker and the Mouse King,' about a young girl who enters a world of magical nutcrackers, and Russian composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky would make the story famous the world over by transforming the tale into the ballet The Nutcracker. Just as Tchaikovsky reinterpreted Hoffmann's story, artisan Jim Shore reinterprets Tchaikovsky's story with his line of Disney figurines based on The Nutcracker. Collectors will want to display the figurines of Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, and Daisy as characters from the beloved ballet with The Nutcracker Suite Displayer, a 6' tall stage-like display made of stone resin that features LED lights as spotlights and a Christmas tree backdrop."
