George Washington shares the tribulations of a brutal winter with his soldiers at Valley Forge, where the prospects of an American victory seem bleak. But when the French join the fight and the British make some critical mistakes, Washington's troops spring into action. Suddenly, the road to victory opens up in the fall of 1781. That road eventually leads to Yorktown, where the British surrender, and the world is turned upside down.
