Winter closes down around the town of Glennburne Falls, Massachusetts, pushing it into unrelenting gloom. And like the frost-bit evenings, time seems to have frozen inside the home of the ancient vampire Theo's, who waits with her new acolyte Liam to see if his newly bitten friend Ed will survive the coming nights. The shadows grow longer around the ancient Vampire Theo. Newly turned Liam and best friend Ed flee from her decrepit grasp, escaping onto the frozen streets but Liam’s sister remains locked away in Theo’s haunted home as barter for their return. Ed, seeing his best friend fade away, reaches blindly into the icy shadows of their shared eternal darkness, desperate to pull him back to his side lest Liam succumb to the Vampire completely and lose the last pieces of his soul with it.
